薄黄緑色で咲く、その花は江戸時代中頃に名づけられたと言われ、貴族の衣服の萌黄色に近いことからその名がついた。この作品は、この桜の花びら色を模した彩色だ。桜は散り滝となって流れていく。

The light yellow-green blossoms are said to have been named in the middle of the Edo period (1603-1867), as they resemble the moe-yellow color of aristocratic garments. The coloring of this work mimics the color of the petals of the cherry blossom. The cherry blossoms fall and flow as a waterfall.
