花影。カエイのシリーズは長く描いてきた作品だ。これは平安時代などに見られる和歌や日記などに見られる仮名文字と庭園の植栽や蝶に見立てた形象を重ねて描いた作品。抽象的であるが「古来」「花の影」というキーワードをイメージにした作品。2019年作品。

銀色の地色に、強烈だが、ごく薄い赤い色を重ね、反射する地色が相まって可憐なピンク色を表現している。

Flower Shadows. The Kaei series is a long-running project　painting. These works overlay 「kana characters」—found in Heian-period waka poetry and diaries—with imagery evoking garden plantings and butterflies. Abstract in nature, they embody the keywords “ancient times” and “flower shadows.”

A silver ground color is layered with an intense yet extremely pale red. Combined with the reflective properties of the base, this creates a delicate pink hue. 2019work.
